Wow, it's been along time since I've seen Leif and his band DEW-SCENTED the last time - it must've been around 1994 / '95 when they played some shows for their one and only demo release "Symbolization" (yes Leif, I SAW you before, but forget that - Alzheimer - sorry). DEW-SCENTED are on tour for 17 dates in almost whole of Europe now: France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland... I saw them in Berlin. The K17 is a venue with various different halls and most of them are used for Gothic kinda events... so I wasn't sure if I was right here. When I arrived the opening acts had already finished their sets so DEW-SCENTED was already next. These guys have gained a lot of live experience in the meantime and as a result blow away several other bands! Their raw power and own enthusiasm is received very well by the audience straight away. Alex, Hendrik and Florian in the front rocked the few hundred people, Leif was a real good frontman who screamed his ass off, although he already had a croaky speaking voice after the first couple of gigs... They played a lot of songs from their CD releases - unfortunately not more than an hour... Some people even took the chance to do stagediving and entered a mosh pit... so all had fun obviously! After so many releseases and live shows DEW-SCENTED should earn the respect they deserve. Even if you don't own their CDs but wanna see a good and pure Thrash Metal show - go and catch them live!
